Jase has had a really good past couple of days - only 2 or 3 brady's and desat's each of the days. They did restart his caffeine (as a stimulant, it helps his heart and lungs stay "on"), so that may be why he is doing so well. We have begun trying to breastfeed. Right now, he is not getting anything; the lactation consultants said it takes them a while to learn everything they need to do. But he is making progress, so that is good. His weight is up to 4 lbs. 10 oz., so he is definitely growing. All of the nurses seem to really enjoy him - they always talk about what a sweet baby he is. He hardly ever cries, and he's just really mellow. When he opens his eyes, he just looks up at you, and it melts your heart! I can't wait till he can come home to be with his family.
